About TheVisaTools
Free, fast, privacy-friendly tools that make U.S. employment-based immigration data easier to understand.
Our mission
TheVisaTools is built and maintained by Gong Baolin, founder of WisePath Technology LLC. My background is in financial planning and building precise, data-driven calculators — and I bring the same discipline here: turning dense, frequently-changing official immigration data into tools that are easy to check and hard to get wrong. I built this site because the existing resources were scattered, confusing, and often out of date. It's free, with no account required.
I'm not an immigration attorney, and TheVisaTools doesn't give legal advice. What I can promise is process: every figure traces back to an official U.S. government source, every Visa Bulletin cell is verified by hand against the published table, and corrections are made quickly when readers flag them. For your individual case, always consult a licensed immigration attorney.

What makes this site different
- Private by design. Every tool runs entirely in your browser. We never store the inputs you enter.
- Official sources only. Our data comes from U.S. government publications: USCIS and the monthly Visa Bulletin (U.S. Department of State).
- Reviewed regularly. Fee figures and cutoff dates are checked against the source and updated as new data is published.
- No strings. No paywalls, no account, no legal advice — just clear information.
Our data sources
We draw every figure from official, public government pages, and we link back to each one so you can verify it yourself:
- Monthly Visa Bulletin U.S. Department of State
- USCIS Processing Times Data USCIS
- USCIS Fee Schedule USCIS
- N-400 Filing Information USCIS
Some of our data is more than a single snapshot. For the Visa Bulletin, we compile a month-by-month history: each time the U.S. Department of State publishes a new bulletin, we read the employment-based Final Action Dates table from the official page and record every category-and-country cell by hand. Each cell is checked against the published table before it appears on the site, and the record is append-only — we do not rewrite past months to match later corrections, so the history reflects what each bulletin actually said when it was released. You can read how we compile our Visa Bulletin data in full.
Your privacy
The tools do their work on your device. We do not ask for personal details to run a calculation, and the dates or selections you enter are not sent to a server by us. For more, see our Privacy Policy.
